Western Steam Model Engineers

Western Steam is owned and operated by Helen Verrall. On leaving school in 1985 Helen was apprenticed to a local boiler makers and attended Weston-Super-Mare Technical College gaining the City & Guild of London Institute certificates. During her time with this company she established her own reputation for the quality of her work, and became well known among the model engineering fraternity.

Western Steam was established in 1990 by Ron Walker, a former colleague and friend at the same company. Sadly Ron passed away in 1998 and Western Steam was taken over by Helen shortly after. Since then Helen’s reputation as a boiler maker has grown, with her quality and attention to detail being unsurpassed.
